Milk Products Supply with Escalation/De-escalation Pricing Clause

Background

The Haywood County Schools School Nutrition Department is seeking sealed bids for the supply of milk products under a contract that includes an escalation/de-escalation pricing clause. The goal of this contract is to ensure a consistent supply of dairy products for the school nutrition program, which serves students in the Haywood County area. The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Work Details

The contractor will provide milk products from reputable manufacturers, including but not limited to 3.5% milk and butterfat differentials. Bids must include the MAY Announcement of Class prices for these products. The contractor is allowed to escalate prices up to four times per year, while de-escalation is unlimited. Deliveries must occur at least twice per week to fifteen traditional sites and six summer food service programs year-round. All deliveries should be made between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with specific requirements for packaging and delivery documentation outlined in the bid invitation.

The contract period is from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to various locations within Haywood County Schools, specifically to the School Nutrition Department located at 5855 Crabtree Rd., Clyde, NC.
