Background

The City of Buckeye is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive Lake Maintenance Services for the Parks Department. The objective is to maintain the lakes in accordance with water quality, safety, and aesthetic standards that align with the City's expectations.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for: 1. Equipment Maintenance: - Cleaning, repairing, and replacing parts for Aqua Master Fountains. - Maintaining Busch Compressors by replacing filters and managing oil levels. - General repairs on diffusers, lines, hoses, and associated equipment. - Providing certified scuba divers for underwater repairs/inspections as needed. 2. Chemical Applications: - Applying copper algaecide and blue dye as required to maintain water quality. - Providing miscellaneous chemical treatments to ensure clarity and aesthetics. 3. Special Projects: - Trimming bullrush at least twice a year. - Cleaning and maintaining aeration heads. - Stocking fish for biological treatment and ecosystem balance. - Controlling weeds and vegetation to maintain shoreline integrity and water quality. 4. Weekly Inspections and Reporting: - Conducting inspections to remove debris and dead fish, monitoring lake health (including pH levels), submitting detailed weekly reports, and providing recommendations for improvements.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon award and will remain effective for one year, with potential renewals for up to four additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various lakes managed by the City of Buckeye.
