Background The City of Nacogdoches, Texas, is seeking construction services for the Raguet Street Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project. The project aims to enhance the sanitary sewer system along Raguet Street, which is critical for maintaining public health and environmental standards. The goal of this contract is to replace existing infrastructure with new, more efficient systems while ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding community. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the removal and replacement of approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing 8-inch sanitary sewer with new 12-inch sanitary sewer using open cut methods. This includes: - Pre- and post-construction TV inspections - Traffic control measures - Replacement of manholes and service lines - Reconnection of service lines - Pavement and driveway repair - Curb and gutter repair - Restoration and other ancillary items as specified in the plans and specifications. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe specified in the Special Provisions section of the contract documents. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a certified cashier’s check or acceptable bid bond amounting to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.
