Background The Town of Cary is seeking qualified engineering firms to participate in its pedestrian structure asset management program. Work Details The selected contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Update the inventory of pedestrian structures and prioritize inspection schedules based on recent reports. 2. In subsequent years (2027-2029), inspect additional groups of structures and provide ongoing repair recommendations. 5. Assist with in-service inspections, load ratings, prioritization of repairs, design of repairs, bid administration, and construction inspections for other assets as needed. 6. Deliverables include updated inventory reports suitable for GIS integration, detailed inspection reports using a standard rating system, and executive summaries that summarize findings and projected maintenance costs. Period of Performance The contract will be executed over a five-year period starting in 2026, with work typically commencing in August and concluding by November each year.
