Background The City of Gallup, New Mexico is seeking competitive bids from qualified vendors for the supply and delivery of a complete DC battery system for the Sunshine Substation. This project is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its electrical infrastructure to enhance system reliability and improve service to customers. Timely delivery of all materials is essential to maintaining the project schedule. Work Details The contract involves the supply and delivery of a complete DC battery system that includes: 1) One (1) DC battery bank with nominal voltage of 125 Vdc, capacity of 150 Ampere-hours (Ah), Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) sealed recombinant type, consisting of 95 cells configured in blocks of 4-6 cells. The specific model required is ALCAD VTX1M150-4 (no substitutes). 2) One (1) DC battery charger with output current of 25 Amps, output voltage of 120 Vdc, input power of 240 Vac single-phase, featuring battery eliminator filtering and an AC lightning arrester in a NEMA 1 wall-mounted cabinet. The model specified is SENS EnerGenius IQ2, Catalog No. Q120025TL512C (no substitutes). 3) One (1) battery rack system complete with spill containment, sized for the battery bank described above. The rack must be a 2-step, 2-tier configuration from ALCAD Rack, Catalog No. E-SGL-2-17 SL 2175 (no substitutes), and the spill containment system must be from Eagle, Model EAGLE-K-24-69 (no substitutes). All equipment must be new and compliant with applicable industry standards. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and is expected to follow a timeline that aligns with the project schedule; timely delivery will be critical. Place of Performance Delivery shall be made to the City of Gallup Warehouse located at 1900 Warehouse Lane, Gallup NM 87301.
