Background The Office of Secretary of Defense, Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) is responsible for supporting new construction efforts for the Virginia class submarines. This acquisition is aimed at procuring production assembly and testing for the DMEA-5521 Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) integrated circuit (IC) (Re-Spin), which is critical for the Submersible Electronic Limit Switch (SELS) assembly on various classes of submarines. Work Details The contractor shall perform wafer dicing, packaging, and screening for the DMEA-5521 LVDT IC (Re-Spin) as per DMEA PWS 25-5E6. The anticipated dollar value of this procurement is $203,000.00. Previous services were provided by Golden Altos under contract HQ072722P0016, which included wafer dicing, supplying 18 pin sided-brazed packages and lids, packaging and assembly, shipping tubes for packaged parts, and Class Q/B assembly process qualification testing and reports. Golden Altos is ITAR registered and can perform all desired services in-house without needing to contract each task separately.
