Background The Chippewa National Forest is seeking to obtain janitorial services for the Deer River Ranger Station. The mission of the Forest Service is to manage and protect the nation's forests and grasslands. This contract aims to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for the staff and visitors at the ranger station. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all transportation and incidentals necessary for office cleaning at the Deer River Ranger Station, which accommodates approximately 30-55 people. The cleaning tasks include: - **Kitchen (once per week)**: Scrub stainless steel sink, clean and sanitize surfaces, vacuum and mop floors, clean sinks, table tops, countertops, cabinet doors, exteriors of kitchen appliances, wall surfaces around kitchen sink, backsplash, and trash can. - **Restrooms and Showers (once per week)**: Sweep or vacuum and mop floors; clean sinks, countertops, mirrors; scrub toilets and urinals; clean restroom stall partitions; disinfect all surfaces; check and refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towels; clean shower rooms including mopping floors and disinfecting surfaces. The Forest Service will provide vacuum cleaners and routine cleaning materials. However, specialty equipment such as carpet shampooers must be supplied by the contractor.
