Background The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) located in Duluth, MN is seeking quotes for the calibration of scientific instruments, including pipettes, balances/scales, and temperature monitoring devices. The goal of this contract is to ensure that these instruments are accurately calibrated and maintained to meet operational standards. Work Details The contractor will provide on-site services necessary for the calibration, servicing, and cleaning of various scientific instruments at the EPA Laboratory. The specific tasks include: 1. Calibration of 65 laboratory scales and balances, including cleaning, adjustment, and certification/report. 2. Multi-point calibration of 420 single channel pipettes, 45 eight-channel pipettes, and 2 twelve-channel pipettes, which includes calibration, adjustment, cleaning, and certification/report. This follows ISO17025 caliber calibrations but does not require a certificate (Level 2 calibration). 3. Calibration of two 96 well plate liquidators with multi-point calibration including cleaning and certification/report (Level 2 calibration). 4. One-point temperature calibration for 15 thermocyclers with adjustment and certification/report. 5. Three-point calibration for 20 thermometers with certification/report. 6. Calibration for 3 autoclaves with certification/report. 7. One-point temperature calibration for 76 temperature probes with certification/report. The contractor must bring all necessary tools or instruments needed for these tasks and adhere to EPA Laboratory security regulations. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from June 1, 2026 to May 30, 2027. Place of Performance The work will be performed on-site at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Laboratory located at 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, MN 55804.
