Cultural Engagement for Health Access Coordinator Maui

The Hawai i State Department of Health (DOH), Family Health Services Division (FHSD), Maternal and Child Health Branch (MCHB) seeks to strengthen maternal and women's health outcomes in Maui County by supporting culturally grounded community engagement. MCHB is seeking a bidder to implement a series of culturally guided workshops and community events that integrate traditional Hawaiian arts such as dance, language, music, and other heritage practices into maternal and women's health engagement. Over recent years, MCHB has implemented similar cultural approaches on O ahu, Hawai i Island, and Kaua i to build trust and rapport with women and families. This project extends that work to Maui County by leveraging existing relationships between communities and resource partners.
