World Drumming

Background

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking qualified providers of World Drumming instruction to enhance student engagement and culturally relevant learning experiences. The goal is to provide in-person, group-format drumming instruction that may also incorporate elements such as other instruments or dance, and social-emotional learning components. MPS emphasizes the importance of responsive proposals from former, current, and prospective vendors.

Work Details

The contractor will provide World Drumming instruction services that can be short or long-term, time-limited, or ongoing. Services must primarily focus on drumming and include: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in drumming instruction or school-based services. - Staff with prior experience working with K-12 students. - Programming that supports student engagement, skill development, and culturally relevant learning experiences. - Ability to operate within school schedules and comply with district supervision protocols, including maintaining appropriate staff-to-student ratios. - Provision of instruments for the sessions. - Description of proposed services including themes, intended benefits, formats, group sizes, staff roles and experience, references from prior purchasers, and session outlines. Services will be compensated based on an all-inclusive unit rate per hour per group class/session.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from the date of execution through a specified term with options for renewal based on performance metrics. The initial term includes provisions for potential extensions.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various Milwaukee Public Schools locations as determined by MPS.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must demonstrate compliance with specific qualifications including: - Minimum 5 years of drumming instruction experience. - Staff experience with K-12 students. - Ability to align programming with district priorities and school schedules. - Compliance with all district policies regarding student supervision and safety procedures.
