Background

The City of Milwaukee is issuing this Invitation to Bid #21922 for a Citywide Vendor Contract for Hardware & Industrial Supplies. Work Details

The vendor will supply a range of hardware and industrial supplies categorized into groups:

Group A

Tools** includes items such as: - Drilling Hammer (Estwing, Part No. B3-3LB or approved equal) - 14” Bolt Cutter (Apex, Part No. 213220 or approved equal) - Replacement Handle (Link Handle, Part No. 960-21 or approved equal) - Various other tools including wrenches, pliers, grease guns, and saws from specified manufacturers.

Group B

Tapes** includes: - Caution Tape (Irwin, Part No. 66231 or approved equal) - Duct Tape (Intertape, Part No. 6900 or approved equal)

Group C

Miscellaneous** includes: - Gas cans, poly sheeting, extension cords, epoxy cups, spray equipment, and super glue from specified manufacturers. Bidders must quote on all items listed to be eligible for an award and provide the most current part numbers available. Descriptive literature must be included if quoting an equivalent item.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over three years from the date of award with two additional one-year options to extend.

Place of Performance

Various City of Milwaukee Departments.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the mandatory Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program participation requirement of at least 25% as per City of Milwaukee Ordinance Chapter 370 Section 5. They must submit a Contractor Compliance Plan (Form A) detailing their SBE participation and include proof of SBE certification. Failure to meet these requirements will render bids unresponsive.
