Freeboard Improvements Hart Park and Western Milwaukee Levee System

Scope of Work

The contract involves comprehensive improvements to the freeboard at Hart Park and the Western Milwaukee Levee System. The work to be performed includes: - Demolition and removal of existing trees, rootballs, pavements, foundations, and floodwalls. - Excavation and off-site disposal of approximately 1,075 cubic yards of soil. - Raising approximately 1,760 feet of existing earthen levee. - Construction of a 750 linear foot extension (raise) to the concrete floodwall cap. - Performing maintenance repairs to existing concrete floodwalls, including addressing spalling, crack formation, expansion sealing, construction joint sealant material damage, and waterstop damage. - Building approximately 325 feet of permanent two-rail timber fence. - Installing approximately 96 feet of 30-inch RCP storm sewer and associated appurtenances. - Installing a 30-inch storm sewer outfall structure and flap gate. - Constructing 90 feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer. - Installing two new sanitary sewer manholes along the new 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer line. - Adjusting the grade of one existing City of Wauwatosa sanitary sewer manhole. - Installing a cast-in-place concrete backflow prevention structure and in-line check valve within the 72-inch storm sewer. - Adjusting the grade of two City of Wauwatosa storm manholes along the 72-inch storm sewer. - Installing two manholes over the Schoonmaker Creek double box culvert. - Constructing approximately 300 feet of an access ramp at the Schoonmaker Creek outfall. - Restoring all disturbed areas with concrete pavement, asphalt, turf, and native vegetation. - Providing a 5-year post-construction vegetation maintenance period for disturbed areas adjacent to Honey Creek Parkway.
