CWES Cabin Roof Replacement Project

Background

The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is issuing this solicitation for the CWES Cabin Roof Replacement Project. The goal of this contract is to remove and replace roofs, including repairs and installation of new steel roofing systems, for five log cabins located at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES). This project is part of the university's efforts to maintain and improve its facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Removal of existing roofing materials from five log cabins. 2. Installation of new steel roofing systems on each cabin. 3. Necessary repairs to ensure the structural integrity and weatherproofing of the cabins during and after the roofing process.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to commence after the bid award, with specific timelines to be determined based on contractor availability and project scheduling.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station located at 10186 County Road MM, Amherst Junction, WI 54407.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must attend a mandatory site visit on June 18th, 2026, at 9 A.M. CT to familiarize themselves with the project requirements. A signed Certificate of Site Visitation form must be submitted with the bid response to confirm attendance. Bidders who attended a previous site visit on May 4, 2026, are exempt from attending again but must upload their signed certificate from that visit.
