Background

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is seeking competitive bids to establish an Agency Specific Term Contract for the supply of Eyewear Protective Cases. The contract aims to furnish and deliver these cases on an as-needed basis for the NC Department of Adult Correction's Correction Enterprise Optical Plant, which provides eyeglasses for offenders, Medicaid patients, and state employees throughout North Carolina.

Work Details

The contract requires the Vendor to provide Optical Eyeglass Slip-in Cases that accommodate standard size eyeglasses with dimensions of 153mm in length and 45mm in width. The cases must have the following specifications: - Dimensions of 175mm x 90mm - A merrowed stitch front opening that is 38mm across descending to a 20-degree angle - Made from a soft durable vinyl outer shell with a merrowed edge - Lined with soft non-scratch material The Vendor must also provide samples for evaluation by June 23, 2026.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be three (3) years, beginning on July 17, 2026, or upon execution date, whichever is later.

Place of Performance

The delivery location for the Eyewear Protective Cases will be the Nash Optical Plant at NC Department of Adult Correction, located at 2869 US Highway 64A, Nashville, NC 27856.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered with the North Carolina Secretary of State and provide evidence of this registration within ten business days upon notification of award. Vendors are required to submit completed forms including:
