Background

The City of Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, is seeking proposals for full maintenance and repair services for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. This initiative aligns with the city's mission to ensure operational reliability and support its critical infrastructure. The city aims to engage one or more contractors based on equipment type and manufacturer to optimize service delivery.

Work Details

The contractor will provide full maintenance and repair services for UPS systems located at various sites as detailed in Appendix V. Services include: 1. Two (2) biannual preventive maintenance and inspection calls (Level 1) for each UPS system, which involve visual inspections, internal operating parameters checks, external operating parameters checks, environmental assessments, battery cabinet checks, monitoring system parameters, and general observations. 2. Two (2) biannual sealed battery preventive maintenance and inspection calls (Level 2), which include measuring and recording battery voltages, charger output current, visual inspections of battery conditions, cleaning surfaces as required, and annual connection resistance measurements. 3. Emergency response with a guaranteed two-hour response time for troubleshooting and repairs. 4. Replacement of batteries deemed insufficient during the contract period. 5. Provision of all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and documentation to perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon signing and is expected to last for five (5) years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations specified by the City of Raleigh as outlined in Appendix V.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must be licensed and registered in North Carolina with a minimum of five years' experience in maintaining similar UPS systems. They must provide validation of training from UPS manufacturers and maintain all necessary licenses. Additionally, contractors are required to have local staff available at each site proposed for service.
