In-Person Special Education Services

Background

The Fauquier County Government and Public Schools, located in Virginia, is seeking proposals for in-person special education services to support its educational mission. The county has experienced consistent population growth and serves a diverse student body across multiple schools. The goal of this contract is to ensure that students receive necessary special education services when regular staff are unavailable.

Work Details

The selected contractor will provide the following in-person special education services: 1. Occupational Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 2. Physical Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 3. Speech Therapy (evaluations and therapy sessions) 4. RN Services (operating a school clinic area) 5. Psychological evaluation services for IDEA eligibility determination 6. Behavior Specialist services 7. Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) 8. Teachers of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing 9. Special Education Teachers. All personnel must be properly licensed according to state and federal regulations.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be three years starting from July 1, 2026, with an option for renewal for seven additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance

Services will be provided at various locations within Fauquier County Public Schools.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must have a valid certificate of authority or registration to transact business in Virginia, maintain appropriate insurance coverage, and comply with local licensing requirements. Proposals must demonstrate understanding of the tasks required, expertise in providing similar services, and include references from previous clients.
