General Professional Services 2026-2028

Background

The City of Columbus is seeking proposals for General Professional Services for the years 2026-2028. This initiative aims to provide task-order or full-service assistance on various projects as needed by the City of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (CRPD). The goal is to prequalify experienced consulting firms in architecture, landscape architecture, planning, engineering, construction management, and specialty services to support CRPD's projects.

Work Details

The selected consultants will provide a range of services including but not limited to: architectural services (pre-design, design, bidding phase, assistance during construction), engineering services (environmental assessments, utility coordination), and specialized services (landscape architecture, golf course design). Specific tasks include establishing project goals, conducting site investigations, preparing construction documents, managing public outreach, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Consultants will also be responsible for cost estimating and project scheduling. The anticipated projects may include use studies, mechanical evaluations, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence in the last quarter of 2024 and extend through 2026. Task orders are expected to begin in Fall/Winter 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will primarily be performed within the City of Columbus and surrounding areas as required by specific projects.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must possess all necessary professional licenses and certifications relevant to their proposed services. Additionally, firms are encouraged to identify any subcontractors who will participate in the work. The City emphasizes participation from certified minority and female business enterprises but does not make this a condition for bid award.
