Background

The City of North Ridgeville is seeking a consultant to provide Construction Inspection and Construction Administration services for the replacement of the existing signalized intersection of State Route 83 and Chestnut Ridge with a modern roundabout. This project aims to improve traffic flow and safety at this intersection, which is critical for local transportation.

Work Details

The consultant will be responsible for the following services: - Construction Inspection and Administration services. - Replacement of existing pavement with full depth asphalt pavement and concrete curb. - Watermain replacement, storm sewer extensions, underdrains, highway lighting, traffic control, and adjusting structures as necessary. - The estimated construction cost is $2,030,000.00. - Prequalification requirements include having a Project Inspector 1, Traffic Signal and Lighting Inspector, Soils and Aggregate Inspector, Construction Engineer Level 2, and a Construction Management Firm. The consultant must also comply with Federal Requirements regarding Financial Management System Evaluation.

Period of Performance

The estimated award date for the contract is June 29, 2026, with construction expected to begin on July 13, 2026, and completion anticipated by November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the intersection of State Route 83 and Chestnut Ridge Road in North Ridgeville, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must be prequalified by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in relevant categories. Only individuals (not firms) are eligible for construction inspection activities. Firms that are currently suspended or debarred from federal contracts are not eligible for selection.
