Curriculum Enriching Activities

Background

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking qualified providers of Curriculum Enriching Activities to enhance student learning during or after the school day. The goal is to provide in-person services that include a variety of educational themes such as science education, arts education, and workshops focused on race/ethnicity. These activities must have a clear instructional or skill-building component aligned with academic, cultural, or career exploration outcomes. MPS aims to engage multiple vendors for these services and encourages participation from former, current, and prospective vendors.

Work Details

The contract involves providing Curriculum Enriching Activities that must include: - In-person services during or after school hours. - A wide range of themes/topics and formats for activities. - Clear instructional or skill-building components aligned with academic standards. - Services can be short-term, long-term, time-limited, or ongoing without a minimum capacity requirement. - Vendors must demonstrate experience working with K-12 students and align their programming with MPS’s instructional priorities. - Proposals should detail the general theme of activities, intended benefits, typical service formats (e.g., duration and frequency), target populations, group size capacity, staff roles and experience, supervision strategies, inclusions (materials and equipment), and evaluation methods.

Period of Performance

The period of performance is flexible as services can be short-term or ongoing based on the needs of MPS schools.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed on-site at various Milwaukee Public Schools locations.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must have a minimum of 5 years providing youth programming or school-based services. Staff must have prior experience working with K-12 students. Vendors are required to follow all district supervision protocols and maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios.
