Landfill New Scale Project

Background

The County of Moore is issuing an Invitation for Formal Bid (IFB No. 2026-08) for the Landfill New Scale Project, aimed at enhancing the operations of the County's Solid Waste Department. This project includes the construction of a new scale plaza to improve waste management efficiency.

Work Details

The project encompasses the following work: construction of a 422 square-foot scale control building, installation of one new above-ground electronic truck scale with all necessary appurtenances, relocation of one existing electronic scale, asphalt paving, concrete paving, and implementation of erosion control measures. Backfill - 3700 CY 13. Asphalt Paving - 4000 SY 14. Asphalt Paving Overlay - 1600 SY 15. Sidewalk - 760 SF 16. Concrete Scale Ramps - 4 EA 17. Scale Foundation/Washout Slab - 2 EA 18. New Scale - 1 EA 19. Existing Scale Relocation - 1 LS 20. Speed Hump - 2 EA 21. Electrical / Scale Conduit - 400 LF 22. Traffic Lights - 4 EA 23. Stabilization - 14000 SY 24. Bollards - 12 EA 25. Water Service - 1 LS 26. Sewer Service (Septic System) - 1 LS 27. Chain Link Fence and Gates - 200 LF 28. Pavement Striping - 1 LS 29-41 Various other construction tasks including general conditions, plumbing, mechanical, electrical work, and cleanup.

Period of Performance

The expected duration for the completion of this project is approximately 210 days from the date of Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Aberdeen Landfill located at 456 Turning Leaf Way, Aberdeen, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide evidence of authority to do business in North Carolina and submit a completed Qualifications Statement along with their bid proposal.
