Transportation Services - Additional Secondary Provider

Background

The County of Moore, North Carolina, is seeking proposals for Transportation Services as an Additional Secondary Provider for the County's Social Services Department. The goal is to provide Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation Services to clients attending Medicaid-covered appointments both within and outside of Moore County. This contract may be funded with federal grant funds, necessitating compliance with all applicable federal laws, policies, and standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide transportation services for Moore County Medicaid-approved clients attending medical appointments. Key responsibilities include: 1. All appointments must be pre-approved by the Moore County Department of Social Services (MCDSS). 2. The contractor must inform MCDSS within 4 hours if a client misses an appointment. 3. Drivers are required to notify clients of their pick-up time and wait between 5 to 15 minutes for a response. 4. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that clients with special needs (e.g., wheelchairs) are accommodated as advised by MCDSS. 5. The contractor must maintain insurance coverage of $1 million for bodily injury liability and $100,000 for property damage.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will continue until terminated or until the funds are no longer available, with proposals due by July 2, 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed in Moore County, North Carolina, including transportation to out-of-county medical facilities as needed.

Bidder Requirements
