Background

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking bids for the purchase of compressed and liquefied gases for the Division of Forensic Sciences (DFS). The goal is to establish multiple contracts to meet the needs of the agency, which does not guarantee any specific quantity or minimum contract cost during the contract term.

Work Details

The contractor will provide various industrial gases as specified in Table 1, including Compressed Air, Helium, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Liquid Nitrogen, Argon, and other gases. Each gas must meet specific purity and performance standards. The contractor must ensure timely delivery of gases to designated locations: Milwaukee State Crime Lab, Madison State Crime Lab, and Wausau State Crime Lab. All deliveries must comply with safety standards set by OSHA and NFPA. The contractor must also handle emergency orders and provide a return policy for items ordered in error or found defective.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is one year with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made to the following locations: - Milwaukee State Crime Lab (relocating to 9400 W. Doyne Ave., Suite 200, Wauwatosa, WI) - Madison State Crime Lab (4626 University Ave., Madison, WI) - Wausau State Crime Lab (7100 Stewart Ave., Wausau, WI).

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have at least three years of experience providing industrial gases. They are required to comply with all safety regulations and provide certificates of insurance covering workers' compensation and general liability. Bidders must also submit required forms including Appendix A (Bid Price Sheet), Appendix B (DOA-3832 Required Forms), and Appendix C (Suspension and Debarment).
