EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Tier 1 Construction 695-21-700 Milwaukee

Background

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) is planning to solicit proposals for a single firm-fixed-price contract for the design-bid-build EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Tier 1 Construction project 695-21-700 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Milwaukee, WI. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure necessary for improved healthcare delivery.

Work Details

The project scope includes various infrastructure improvements such as: electrical panel upgrades, normal and emergency power systems, bonding, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), interfaces for building management systems, assessment and upgrades to existing HVAC systems, reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing spaces including demolition and new construction with finishes. Additional tasks involve upgrading communication infrastructure with new data outlets and patch panels, upgrading to Cat 6A cable as necessary across buildings, implementing physical security upgrades, assessing and upgrading the fiber infrastructure backbone campus-wide within and between buildings, installing diversified paths to the datacenter for wide area network (WAN) connectivity, and hazardous material abatement. The project will take place in multiple buildings including Buildings 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 20, 43, 70, 97, 102, 107, 108, 109, 111, 112, 113, 115, 123, 144, 146, 147, 148, 150, 151, 152 and surrounding site areas.

Period of Performance

Approximately 1,460 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
