Pavement Sealcoating

Background

The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking bids for the 2026 Pavement Sealcoating project. The district's mission includes maintaining and improving the sewerage infrastructure to ensure effective wastewater management. This contract aims to enhance the durability and longevity of asphaltic pavement through sealcoating, which is essential for protecting the pavement from deterioration.

Work Details

The contractor will be required to sealcoat approximately 7,200 square yards of asphaltic pavement as specified in the project site map. This includes crack sealing and all other associated work necessary to complete the project. The total area to be addressed is 15,850 square yards, with pricing determined per square yard.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence following the award of the bid and must be completed by a date specified in the contract documents. Substantial completion is required as outlined in the Request for Bid.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at designated locations within Madison, Wisconsin, specifically as indicated in the project site map provided in the bidding documents.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a pre-qualification application and provide evidence of their qualifications. They are required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Additionally, bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to insurance coverage, worker's compensation, and non-discrimination policies.
