The City of Madison, Wisconsin, is issuing this contract for the Southwest Commuter Path & West Washington Avenue Traffic Signal project. Work Details

The work under this contract includes: - Removing existing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons; - Installing new traffic signal bases and conduit; - Removing concrete sidewalks and ramps; - Installing new sidewalks and ramps. The project limits extend approximately 180 feet east and west of the Southwest Commuter Path crossing on West Washington Avenue, and approximately 130 feet north and south along the intersection. The total length of the project is approximately 360 feet along West Washington Avenue and 260 feet along the Southwest Commuter Path. The contractor must familiarize themselves with existing conditions prior to bidding, coordinate with utilities in the right-of-way, and ensure that an accessible path along the Southwest Commuter Path is maintained throughout construction.
