Background

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking a contractor for the installation of a carport at Campo Fire Station #40. This initiative aims to provide a durable structure that protects state vehicles and heavy equipment from environmental exposure, ensuring safety and operational readiness. Work Details

The contractor will furnish and install one pre-engineered steel carport structure measuring approximately 20 feet wide by 70 feet long by 16 feet high. The contractor is responsible for all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary for the installation. Specific requirements include: 1. Installation of a vertical roof style with a 3/12 pitch using 12-gauge steel framing spaced five feet on center. 2. The structure must be rated for a minimum wind load of 105 miles per hour and a snow load of 200 pounds per square foot. 3. Roof panels will be cardinal red with trim in galvalume finish. 4. The carport will have open sides and ends without wall panels or doors. 5. All materials must be new, free from defects, and compliant with project specifications.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence on June 30, 2026, or upon approval by CAL FIRE, whichever is later, and will expire on June 29, 2027.
