Moving Services

Background

The County of Sacramento is seeking to establish a pool of contracted vendors for moving services needed throughout the County. The goal is to facilitate the relocation of general office equipment and furnishings, as well as personal possessions for the Public Guardian/Conservator’s office.

Work Details

The moving services will cover: - Relocation of general office equipment and furnishings. - Household moves for the Public Guardian/Conservator, which include moving items from clients' residences to designated storage areas, with typical moves ranging from 1-bedroom apartments to 4 or 5-bedroom houses. - Coordination of office moves on an 'as required' basis, involving various County offices and equipment throughout the County. - Protection of floors, walls, ceilings, and elevators during moves. - Exclusion of moving modular furniture or any furniture affixed to buildings. - File cabinets must be moved upright without removing contents. - Packing of smaller items by County employees; movers will check off items moved from an inventory list provided by the County.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed on a periodic and as-needed basis throughout the duration specified in the contract agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations throughout Sacramento County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with local business preference qualifications if applicable, including maintaining a principal place of business within Sacramento County, providing at least 50% of contracted products from local inventory, possessing a current business license, and having been established for at least six months prior to the bid due date.
