List of Maintenance Service/Parts NAVSUP intends to award purchase order on a sole source basis to Draeger Inc. (Drager) in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Draeger is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the anesthesia units and the sole provider of the required service. Telephone responses will not be accepted. This is a notice of intent to sole source synopsis, not a solicitation or a request for competitive quotations. This is not set-aside for Small Business. Any interested party that believes they should be considered capable of fulfilling this requirement should submit a capability statement of their related products or services to be reviewed for technical content. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Government's acquisition strategy. Background The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (NAVSUP FLCSD) has a requirement to provide maintenance services for the USS ESSEX's four anesthesia units, which are essential for maintaining surgical capabilities. NAVSUP intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Draeger Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the anesthesia units, as they are the sole provider of the required service. Work Details The contractor will perform preventative maintenance on Drager anesthesia units at the end of February to ensure surgical capabilities. The tasks include: 1. Providing a 6-year preventative maintenance kit for 4 Fabius units, including items specific to 6 years of service. 2. Arranging travel for 2 technicians for maintenance purposes. 3. Supplying supplementary units and maintenance kits for various components such as pressure regulators and flow meters, with specific quantities and characteristics outlined in the Statement of Work. 4. Delivering all parts to USS ESSEX at Naval Base San Diego by traceable means, with acceptance occurring after completion of purchase and ordering steps.
