Background The USGS (United States Geological Survey) is seeking to procure the operation of the NADP/NTN (National Atmospheric Deposition Program/National Trends Network) wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site CA50. The goal of this contract is to support the interagency National Atmospheric Deposition Program by ensuring proper operation and maintenance of the precipitation collection station. Work Details The contractor is responsible for operating a field-located precipitation collection station on a weekly basis. This includes: 1. Collecting, processing, and shipping precipitation samples; 2. Collecting, processing, and transmitting associated data including the precipitation gage record; 3. Performing routine instrument checks; 4. Conducting maintenance and repairs as needed; 5. Coordinating with key personnel at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) regarding site specifications, performance, operations, and training; 6. Arranging for provision of needed replacement parts; 7. Contacting USGS directly for assistance or guidance when appropriate. Period of Performance The period of performance is for a base period of 12 months, with four additional option periods of 12 months each. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the NADP/NTN wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site CA50.
