The project involves an Airfield Lighting Upgrade at Slidell Airport. The work includes, but is not limited to: - Upgrading existing airfield lighting systems - Installation of new lighting components as specified in the contract documents - All associated electrical work required for the upgrade Who is Requesting: This solicitation is issued by the City of Slidell, Louisiana.

Background

This project is identified as Slidell Job No. 4000-71 and Bid No. 26-B020. The City of Slidell is seeking qualified contractors to perform the airfield lighting upgrade at the Slidell Airport.

Contract Requirements

- Contractors must hold a Louisiana Contractor's license in ELECTRICAL. - Only bids from contractors who obtain Contract Documents from the Engineer at www.civcastusa.com or through the City of Slidell's Online Bidding Portal at www.centralbidding.com will be considered responsive. - All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of security must comply with the Instructions to Bidders in the Bid Documents. - An executed affidavit and attestation form must be submitted prior to the bid award. - The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, Contract, Plans, Specifications, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and other bidding documents can be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with the option to purchase hard copies) at www.civcastusa.com . Addenda will also be posted there.

Instructions on Submission

- Sealed bids must be submitted to the Office of the Finance Director, 2045 2nd St., Suite 214, Slidell, Louisiana. - Bids will be accepted until 10:00 A.M. CST on June 25, 2026. Any bids received after this time will be returned unopened. - Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the submission location.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM CST on June 10, 2026, at the Slidell Airport Terminal Building, 62512 Airport Road, Slidell, LA 70460.
