Scott & National Gateway Sign

Background

The Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) is issuing a solicitation for the construction of the 2026 Scott & National Gateway Sign located at 1001 E. Chestnut Expressway, Springfield, Missouri. The project aims to enhance the visibility and branding of the college through the installation of a new gateway sign. The contract will be overseen by Taryn Stimson, Project Coordinator at OTC, with architectural services provided by Jason Hainline from Dake Wells Architecture.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to complete the construction of the Scott & National Gateway Sign as per the specifications outlined in the project manual. This includes site preparation, installation of signage structures, electrical work for lighting, landscaping around the sign area, and compliance with all local building codes and regulations. The contractor must also ensure that all work is performed in accordance with prevailing wage laws as determined by Missouri Division of Labor Standards.

Period of Performance

The expected construction start date is June 15, 2026, with substantial completion required by August 21, 2026, and final completion by August 31, 2026.

The contract will be performed at Ozarks Technical Community College located at 1001 E. Chestnut Expressway, Springfield, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a completed Bid Form along with a Proposed Sub-Contractors List and a Statement of Bidder Qualifications. Bidders are required to comply with Missouri State Statute section 285.530 regarding employment verification and must provide proof of enrollment in the E-Verify program. Additionally, contractors must maintain specific insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability and Workers’ Compensation as detailed in the solicitation documents.
