HHS WRC Campus Utility Decentralization Phase 5

Background

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is issuing this solicitation for the HHS WRC Campus Utility Decentralization Phase 5 project. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the demolition of utilities in tunnels, re-routing of water lines, and filling tunnels with grout at the Woodward Resource Center located in Woodward, Iowa. This project aligns with the agency's mission to maintain and improve state facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Demolition of existing utilities within designated tunnels. 2. Re-routing of water lines as specified in the project plans. 3. Filling of tunnels with grout to ensure structural integrity and safety. The construction is anticipated to begin on July 6, 2026, and conclude by June 30, 2028.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is from July 6, 2026, to June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Woodward Resource Center located at 1251 334th Street, Woodward, Iowa 50276.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security/bond amounting to 5% of the total bid amount. Attendance at one of two mandatory pre-bid meetings on May 21 or May 27, 2026, is required to qualify for bidding. Bidders must comply with all affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions as mandated by State and Federal laws.
