Code Red Cooling Centers, Support and Outreach

Background

The Board of Commissioners of the County of Camden, New Jersey, is seeking proposals for the Code Red Cooling Centers, Support and Outreach program. This initiative is part of the County's Office of Community Development aimed at providing essential cooling services during extreme heat conditions to protect public health and safety.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for establishing and managing Code Red Cooling Centers throughout Camden County. This includes: 1) Identifying suitable locations for cooling centers; 2) Staffing these centers with trained personnel; 3) Providing necessary supplies and equipment to ensure comfort and safety; 4) Conducting outreach to inform the community about the availability of these centers; 5) Collaborating with local agencies and organizations to maximize outreach efforts.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from the date of award until the end of the cooling season, which typically spans from June through September annually.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed throughout Camden County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
