Background

The Township of Toms River is seeking to enter into a contract for Fire Systems Inspection, Testing, Monitoring, Maintenance, and Repair Services. The goal is to ensure the safety and compliance of fire systems within the township's facilities. This contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with the specifications outlined in the solicitation.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive fire systems services including inspection, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other related fire safety equipment. Specific tasks may include: - Routine inspections of fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems as per applicable codes. - Testing of all components of fire alarm systems including detectors, alarms, and control panels. - Monitoring services for fire alarm signals. - Maintenance services including repairs or replacements of defective parts. - Compliance with local and state regulations regarding fire safety equipment.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon award on June 10, 2026, and will continue for a period defined in the Detail Specifications.

Services will be performed at various locations within the Township of Toms River, NJ.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. regarding equal employment opportunities and P.L. 1977 C.33 concerning corporate ownership disclosure. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check or Bid Bond amounting to 10% of the total bid price (not exceeding $20,000). Bidders must also provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation.
