Background The JCLC is a US Army Cadet Command annual requirement aimed at enhancing STEM education in public schools. This contract is issued to support the Houston ISD JROTC program, addressing the need for greater emphasis on STEM education and providing opportunities for underserved youth in the Greater Houston area. The goal is to prepare cadets for STEM-dependent job openings by increasing their awareness and interest in these career paths. Work Details The Contractor shall provide non-personal services, equipment, supplies, facilities, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to support training for 220 cadets and 52 cadre at the JCLC/STEM Leadership Academy from June 8-13, 2026. Specific tasks include: 1. Providing lodging accommodations that are climate-controlled and co-located with adequate ventilation and personal space for cadets and cadre. 2. Furnishing all necessary meal services including utensils, plates, cups, condiments, napkins, and cleaning supplies. 3. Managing training activities such as aquatics training, rock wall climbing, and land navigation with appropriate supervision and labor. 4. Ensuring separate lodging for male and female cadets and cadre with furnished non-smoking sleeping facilities. 5. Providing two classrooms capable of accommodating up to 80 cadets each along with audio-visual equipment for instructional purposes. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 8 to June 13, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed on a college or university campus within 100 miles of Houston, TX.
