Janitorial Services

Work Requested

The Commissioners Court of Nueces County is seeking sealed competitive proposals to provide janitorial services. The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary janitorial services to Nueces County for a period of twelve (12) months, beginning upon execution of the contract. There is an option to renew the contract for up to four (4) additional one (1) year terms, provided both the Contractor and Nueces County agree.

Background

The contract for janitorial services is expected to commence on November 5, 2026, or at a later date pending Commissioners Court approval of the contract documents. If the contract expires before a new contract is awarded, the Contractor may be required to extend services on a month-to-month basis by mutual agreement.

Contract Requirements

- The contract may be terminated by the County for any reason with sixty (60) days' written notice. The effective date of termination will be determined by the County, but will not exceed sixty (60) days from the date of notice. - Compensation for services and goods will be based on a single hourly rate specified in the Proposal Response Form. - The County will not pay more than the hourly rate stated, regardless of any premium paid by the Proposer to its employees for overtime, weekends, holidays, or other premium wage considerations. All such premium pay, as well as deductions for Federal withholding, FICA, unemployment compensation, worker's compensation, insurance, etc., are the sole responsibility of the Proposer.
