The City of Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, is seeking proposals for full maintenance and repair services for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. The City aims to ensure the reliability and efficiency of its UPS systems across various locations, as outlined in Appendix V. The contract may be awarded to one or multiple vendors based on equipment type or manufacturer preference, which is deemed most advantageous to the City. The City emphasizes its commitment to environmental, cultural, and economic sustainability while enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
The contractor will provide full maintenance and repair services for UPS systems including: 1. Biannual preventive maintenance and inspection services (Level 1) - two visits per year. 2. Biannual sealed battery preventive maintenance and inspection services (Level 2) - two visits per year. 3. Replacement of any batteries that fail during the contract period. 4. Emergency response with a guaranteed two-hour response time for troubleshooting and repairs. 5. All work must adhere to manufacturer specifications and include necessary permits at no cost to the City. 6. Contractors must maintain a local presence in each county where services are provided.
The contract term is expected to be five (5) years, commencing upon the signing of the contract between the Contractor and the City.
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Raleigh as identified in Appendix V.
Contractors must be licensed and registered with the State of North Carolina, have a minimum of five years of experience with similar systems, provide validation from UPS manufacturers regarding their competency, and maintain all necessary insurance coverage. Proposals must include hourly labor rates for both normal and after-hours service.
