Background

The Equipment Leasing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh is seeking vendors to furnish and install a complete 5-ton dump pickup upfit on 6 vehicles. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the vehicles meet City standards and are ready for immediate service, enhancing the operational capabilities of the Department of Public Works (DPW).

Work Details

The scope includes: - Installation of a municipal dump body with specifications including a length of 10' 6", outside width of 96", inside width of 87", side height of 24", tailgate height of 30", made from 201 stainless steel. - A hydraulic system featuring an HT55 double-acting hoist, PTO-driven gear pump, and sectional air valve control system. - Integration of OEM switch systems for auxiliary equipment control. - Installation of a GPS/telematics system provided by the City. - Delivery must include all necessary wiring, harnesses, and components for full operational capability. - The selected vendor must provide monthly updates on production status and ensure that all systems are tested prior to delivery.
