Background

Work Details

The contractor will supply the following water treatment chemicals based on estimated annual usage: - Aluminum Sulfate Solution, 48%: 35,000 gallons (180,000 lbs) - Sodium Hypochlorite Solution, 12.5%: 50,000 gallons (61,150 lbs) - Sodium Hydroxide Solution, 25%: 34,000 gallons (89,675 lbs) - Hydrofluosilicic Acid Solution, 23%: 5,000 gallons (11,500 lbs). All products are to be delivered in bulk. The City reserves the right to adjust quantities as needed and may procure from alternative suppliers in emergencies. Orders will be placed as needed with a confirmation required from the contractor detailing product information and delivery dates. Deliveries must occur within seven days of notification and only full capacity deliveries will be accepted.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, with an initial term of one year. The City has the option to renew the contract for four additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

The delivery of products will take place at the City’s Water Treatment Plant located at 308 Grandview Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.

Bidder Requirements
