Background

Baruch College of The City University of New York is seeking a contractor to provide installation services for 20 HyFlex classrooms. This initiative aims to enhance classroom technology to support both in-person and remote learning. Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, professional expertise, and recommendations regarding materials and equipment necessary for the installation of technology-enhanced HyFlex classrooms. The project involves the installation of audiovisual systems and cabling services across 20 classrooms configured into two types: Type A (small/medium classrooms) and Type B (large classrooms). Specific tasks include: 1. Integration and configuration of AV systems. 2. Ensuring a consistent Graphical User Interface (GUI) across all locations. 3. Project management including scheduling, status meetings, and documentation. 4. Installation of various AV equipment including Shure ceiling microphones, ViewSonic displays, NEC projectors, and Extron control systems. 5. Removal of existing equipment and installation of new equipment as specified in the RFQ. 6. Coordination with Baruch's Networking team for VLAN connections and IP address configurations.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon registration by the State Comptroller and is expected to last for two years from the date agreed upon by the University.

The work will be performed at Baruch College's Newman Vertical Campus located at 55 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be certified as MWBE or SDVOB in New York State.
