Background The National Park Service (NPS) has identified mold growth and conditions conducive to mold development within Housing Unit #202B at Big Hole National Battlefield, located in Wisdom, Montana. This project aims to remediate existing mold contamination to protect occupant health and preserve government housing assets. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: - Safely remove and remediate mold-impacted materials in accordance with federal, state, and industry standards. - Restore affected areas to a clean, dry, and serviceable condition. - Identify and report contributing moisture sources. Pre-remediation activities include conducting a site visit to verify conditions, reviewing any existing mold assessment or indoor air quality reports, developing a site-specific Mold Remediation Work Plan and Health and Safety Plan (HASP), and establishing containment areas using appropriate engineering controls such as critical barriers and negative air pressure.
