NVCC Multiple Campus Add Electronic Door Access

Background

The Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) is issuing this solicitation for the project titled 'NVCC Multiple Campus Add Electronic Door Access' (Project Code: 260-B3260-069). The purpose of this project is to implement electronic door access controls across the NVCC system, enhancing security and access management. The work will be conducted at multiple campuses including Alexandria, Annandale, Springfield Medical, Loudoun, Woodbridge, and Manassas.

Work Details

The project involves a level 2 alteration to provide electronic door access controls throughout the NVCC system. The scope of work includes the installation of electronic access systems on approximately 262 doors located in about 28 buildings across the specified campuses. This includes all necessary hardware, software, and integration with existing security systems as outlined in the detailed specifications provided in the bid documents.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within a specified timeframe as determined by the Owner. Final completion is required within thirty (30) days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance

Work will be performed at various locations across the Northern Virginia Community College campuses including Alexandria, Annandale, Springfield Medical, Loudoun, Woodbridge, and Manassas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and comply with all applicable licensing requirements under Virginia law. A Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond is required for bids exceeding $500,000. Bidders must also provide a Small Business Procurement Plan indicating their proposed percentage of participation by small businesses in their total bid amount.
