Outdoor LED Sign for Huckleberry Park

Background

The Town of Christiansburg is seeking proposals for the design, engineering, acquisition, and installation of an outdoor LED sign at Huckleberry Park. This initiative aims to enhance the visibility and communication capabilities of the park, aligning with the Town's mission to provide quality public services and facilities. The project will involve collaboration with the Town to determine optimal placement and ensure compliance with local standards.

Work Details

The contractor will provide one (1) outdoor LED sign manufactured by THINKSIGN, ensuring compatibility with existing signage. The project includes: 1. Design, engineering, and construction of footings and new monuments or walls for installation. 2. Installation of a double-sided LED display measuring 5'3" in height and 7'10.5" in width, featuring full color capabilities on both sides. 3. Compliance with specifications outlined in Attachment C regarding construction materials, color schemes, and electrical requirements including GFCI receptacles and specific receptacle types. 4. Coordination with Town departments for permitting and site preparation. 5. Delivery, installation, and invoicing by June 30, 2026. 6. Provision of all necessary equipment, labor, materials, software for programming messages, training for Town employees on software use, warranties for components (minimum 5 years), and restoration of the site post-installation.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to be performed from the date of award until June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Huckleberry Park located at 300 Huckleberry Park Drive NW in Christiansburg, VA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years’ experience in designing and installing LED signs similar to the scope described. They must also provide documentation proving compliance with all requirements outlined in the RFP including business licenses and insurance certificates prior to contract award.
