Waterline Replacement Products Mountain View

Background

The City of Charlottesville Utilities Department is seeking a vendor to supply waterline products for an in-house watermain replacement project. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely delivery of necessary materials to facilitate the replacement of water mains within the city, which typically run at a depth of around 42 inches. The estimated delivery date for all products is on or before June 15, 2026.

Work Details

The contractor will supply and deliver various waterline products as specified in the pricing schedule, including: - 20' Joint of 6" TJ DIP Class 52 Pipe (2 EA) from U.S. Pipe and Foundry Company. - 20' Joint of 8" TJ DIP Class 52 Pipe (45 EA) from U.S. Pipe and Foundry Company. - Corporation Stops (12 EA). - Copper fittings including bends and Type K soft copper (various quantities). - Valves from Kennedy or Mueller (4 EA total). - Water valve boxes with lids per City specifications (5 EA). - Various flange kits and tees from Star Pipe Products or U.S. Pipe and Foundry Company. The contractor must ensure that all materials are new, unused, and meet the specified standards.

Period of Performance

The contract period will extend until all products are delivered, with an estimated completion date on or before June 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made either to the project site or to the City Avon Yard as determined by a City representative.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all aspects of the RFQ requirements. They should provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified, including Workers' Compensation and Commercial General Liability insurance. Bidders are encouraged to include small businesses, women-owned businesses, minority-owned businesses, employment services organizations, and veteran-owned businesses in their proposals.
