Background

Forsyth County Emergency Services is seeking competitive bids for medical supplies to be furnished to their department. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the emergency services have the necessary medical supplies available for effective operation. The contract will be awarded to one vendor who can provide all required items without substitutions.

Work Details

The contract includes a comprehensive list of medical supplies, including but not limited to: nasopharyngeal airways, oropharyngeal airways, adult nasal cannulas, non-rebreather masks, nebulizers, suction catheters, IV supplies, gloves, and various emergency medical equipment. Specific quantities and packaging details are provided for each item. For example: - 14fr Nasopharyngeal Airway (Curaplex or Teleflex) - 2 boxes of 10 - Adult Nasal Cannula (Curaplex or Teleflex) - 117 cases of 50 - OPA sizes ranging from 40mm to 100mm with varying quantities. Additionally, the vendor must provide an EMS-specific inventory management system at no cost to Forsyth County Emergency Services.

Period of Performance

The contract period will begin on July 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2029. There is an option to renew for two additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance

All deliveries will be made to Forsyth County EMS located at 911 E. 5th Street in Winston-Salem, NC.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with several requirements including: - Must have an ISO Certified Kitting facility. - Must be VAWD certified (Verified Accredited Wholesale Distributor). - Must provide a Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan. - Must maintain thirty days of stock for each item. - Must provide Safety Data Sheets for all applicable products. - The successful bidder must also comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide training for all products offered.
