Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of HVAC systems at Fort Bowie National Historic Site (FOBO). The goal of the contract is to replace existing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems in two housing units to ensure they are functional and meet current standards. This project is part of NPS's commitment to maintaining historical sites while providing necessary modern amenities. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and construction services necessary for the replacement of two 3-ton HVAC systems. This includes: - Removal of existing HVAC systems. - Installation of new HVAC systems including condensing units, air handlers, line sets, electrical disconnects, thermostats, and thermostat wiring. - Compliance with all federal, state, and local codes including the International Building Code (IBC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), National Electrical Code (NEC), and OSHA standards. - Coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and obtaining necessary permits. - Ensuring that all existing buildings remain weather-tight throughout the project. - Field verification of all existing conditions prior to commencing work. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from July 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at two housing units located at Fort Bowie National Historic Site in Bowie, Arizona.
