Locksmith and Core Key System Services

Background

The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW Airport) is seeking bids to provide locksmith keys/cores and repair services specifically for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Customs Armories. The contract aims to ensure the security and operational efficiency of the airport by maintaining a reliable keying system. It will be awarded for a period of five years without options for renewal, emphasizing the importance of compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing locksmith services that include: 1. Supplying locksmith keys and cores based on the Dormakaba Best Coremax Keying System or other systems at DFW Airport. 2. All cores must comply with BHMA/ANSI A156.5 standards and feature key 'check pin' technology. 3. Keys must be uncut or blank, have a thickness to prevent breakage, and include specific markings as required by DFW Airport. 4. The contractor must provide on-call emergency services 24/7, responding within two hours of a service call. 5. Repair services for TSA Customs Armories located at Terminal D will also be included under charge reimbursable work, encompassing additional labor and materials as needed.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a five-year period starting from the date of award, with no options for renewal.

Place of Performance

Services will primarily be performed at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, specifically at TSA Customs Armories located in Terminal D.

Bidder Requirements

There is no Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal set for this contract; however, bidders must demonstrate proven experience in providing similar services in an airport setting. Contractors are required to submit references from previous clients and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
