Scope of Work

The Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) Food & Nutrition Services Department is seeking bids for the complete turnkey demolition and installation of a new Cooler/Freezer Combo unit at Smith Elementary School. The selected contractor will be responsible for: - Demolishing and removing the existing cooler/freezer unit as necessary - Furnishing and installing a new Cooler/Freezer Combo unit - Ensuring all work is completed to meet MISD requirements and specifications

Background

This project is part of ongoing efforts by MISD to upgrade and maintain food storage infrastructure at district campuses. The work will take place at Smith Elementary School, located at 2300 Mesquite Valley Rd, Mesquite, TX 75149.

Contract Requirements

Vendors are required to: - Attend a mandatory site visit to verify existing conditions and project scope - Arrive no later than 1:00 PM for check-in at Cannaday Elementary School (2701 Chisolm Trail, Mesquite, TX 75150) - Present a valid government-issued ID for campus access - Check in at the front office upon arrival - Be escorted by MISD staff to the kitchen areas at both Cannaday and Smith Elementary Schools Attendance at the site visit is highly mandatory. Failure to attend does not relieve the vendor of responsibility for fully understanding the project requirements.

Instructions on Submission

Vendors are strongly encouraged to participate in the scheduled site visit to ensure their bid submissions are accurate and complete. The site visit is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026, with an arrival time of 1:00 PM and a start time of 2:00 PM. After the initial visit at Cannaday Elementary School, attendees will proceed to Smith Elementary School.
