Background

The City of Blue Springs, Missouri is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide towing services for the City. The goal of this contract is to ensure efficient and reliable towing services, including various recovery and roadside assistance tasks, for a period of three years with options for renewal. Work Details

The Contractor will provide the following towing services:

Accident Clean-Up

- Service Calls (including tire changes, jump starts, and unlocking services) - Storage The Area of Coverage includes all city streets and contiguous roadways within Blue Springs and extends to areas where police duties require towing outside city limits. The Contractor must maintain a secure storage facility capable of holding at least 60 vehicles and have a minimum fleet of five trucks (four 1-ton or larger trucks and one 5-ton or larger truck). All vehicles must be equipped with necessary tools for safe towing operations. The Contractor will also be responsible for accident scene clean-up and must respond within specified time frames.

Period of Performance

The contract is set for three years from the date of signing with options to renew for one or two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of Blue Springs, Missouri.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must demonstrate compliance with Missouri's Towing laws including having a business license and CDL. They must provide references from at least three similar projects completed in the past five years.
