Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office Safety Security Protection (OSSP) is seeking industry information to identify contractors capable of providing restriping services for the USDA George Washington Carver Center Parking Lot. The goal of this contract is to restore clear, visible, and compliant pavement markings to support safe vehicular circulation, pedestrian movement, ADA accessibility, and emergency access throughout the facility’s parking areas. Work Details The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, management, and supervision necessary to restripe the facility parking lot. The scope includes full restriping services such as site preparation, layout, removal or blackout of obsolete markings, and application of new traffic markings in compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Specific tasks include: 1) Repainting 965 parking stall lines using traffic marking paint with reflective glass beads for enhanced nighttime visibility; 2) Providing 12-inch stenciled numbering for spaces 1 through 965 with consistent placement and font style; 3) Installing 12 ADA-compliant handicap symbols using blue and white traffic marking paint; 4) Ensuring access aisles include required blue hash-marked striping. Compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design, Maryland Municipal Regulations for traffic markings, manufacturer specifications for applied materials, and OSHA safety standards is mandatory. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the George Washington Carver Center located in Beltsville, Maryland.
